Teenage poet Zee had to drop out of public high school in South Africa because she couldn't afford basic school costs like a uniform and school supplies. We've worked with Zee and her mother to help register Zee in a new school for 2016.
Check out the progress on the Langbos Children's Home! The Langbos Children's Home is a project to shelter and uplift vulnerable children in Langbos- an off-grid informal settlement in the Eastern Cape of South Africa. The Home was constructed using #Superadobe, a low-cost, environmentally-friendly, earth building method intended to echo traditional earth building methods of indigenous South African cultures.
The Langbos Children's Home will be a shelter for vulnerable children, providing a safety net of support to ensure that all children are equipped to overcome the challenges of poverty. The Home will employ a staff of trained caregivers and home-based carers who will provide 24-hour care to children staying in the home and others in the community.
